Lisa is the Executive Director of Business & Rights and Content Optimization for CBC English Services.
Lisa oversees every aspect of CBC’s business deals for content (acquired, independently produced and inhouse produced with the exception of sports). Since late 2015, Lisa is also responsible for CBC’s windowing strategy and planning.
Lisa was one of the inaugural recipients of the CBC’s President’s Award. Over the last decade, she has been a guest speaker on media and content related topics for a variety of industry organizations, conferences, festivals, universities and colleges.
Lisa has volunteered on numerous not-for-profit boards of director including the Schlifer Clinic, Women in Film & Television (Toronto), Women in Film & Television International (WIFTI) and the High Park Nature Centre. In 2016, she received an Ontario Volunteer service award. Currently, Lisa is dedicated to several initiatives involving refugees to Canada.
Prior to working at CBC, Lisa was a partner at the law firm McCarthy Tétrault where she specialised in intellectual property litigation including copyright and patent disputes.
